Air Travel
Please allow an extra day
in your trip for getting here as we do have late arrival charges.
Most American clients opt to fly into Spokane, WA (GEG) and
then drive to Nelson, BC from there. You can either rent
a car (try to get one with snow tires!) or we can arrange
a shuttle for an extra fee.
See road travel if you plan
to drive yourself. You will need a passport or birth certificate
and photo ID at the border.
To help
you in your travel planning we have prepared a list of airlines
serving Spokane International Airport:
**Castlegar is our regional airport and frequent storms prevent
flights from landing on time.
Air Canda does fly into Castlegar from both Vancouver and Calgary, but they often cannot land due to bad weather.
Pacific Coastal Airlines flying into TRAIL has had more luck getting in (smaller planes, different airport).

Charter services available as well with them. Flights are $289.38 or $331.78 incl taxes CAD return to Vancouver from Trail.
You can then rent a vehicle from rent a wreck in advance and they will pick you up at the airport! 250- 364-0211 www.rent-a-wreck.ca Choose the TRAIL option. Trail is about an hours drive to our to our meeting spot.

Inn that coincide with the regular Castlegar Airport Flights.
The cost is $20 per person one way. Note that weekend departures

RENTAL
CARS
If you plan to stay longer than your trip with us and explore
the local ski areas or visit Ainsworth Hotsprings then a
rental car is definitely worth it. Be sure to book ahead
to ensure you get what you want.
Other than that, Nelson
is very centralized and restaurants, artisans, bank machines
and hotels are all within easy walking distance.
