8 Day Multi-Sport & Harvest

This 8-day all-inclusive active multi-sport explores the wine regions of Salta and Cafayate, combining hiking, biking, rafting, wine tasting & harvesting and in classic iROAM and Snowwater style, many incredible dining experiences.

  • Visit the Museo Arquelogia de Alta Montana
  • Enjoy Mercado San Miguel & La Viejas Estacion for traditional music & dining
  • Horseback ride, bike and hike near San Lorenzo
  • Raft through steep canyons on the Class II-III Juramento River before overnighting in a wine resort
  • Explore the quaint colonial town of Cafayate and sample the local wines including Tannat, Bonarda, Malbec & Torrontés
  • Visit Cafayate’s Wine Museum & explore local wineries by foot
  • Explore outlying vineyards by bicycle (with vehicle support)
  • Hike to seven beautiful waterfalls then visit Quebrada de las Conchas, famous for its dramatic multi-colored strata
  • Participate in a grape harvest and enjoy a gourmet lunch at Dsafio Vineyards
  • Explore the vast expanse of salt flats and Parque Los Cardiones as we return to Salta for flights home

Experience Argentina through the Love of Wine

Experiencing Argentina through the lense of a wine lover. Patric, our resident sommelier, will help you learn the intricacies of what makes Argentinian vintages a recent favourite of Snowwater. You will experience casual bike tours, walks and hikes and tastings at wineries and vineyards all throughout this trip.

Be Immersed in Argentina Culture

With a culture that is unique in an of itself, Salta offers amazing experiences day or night. You will partake in local traditions, see historical sites and of course, delve into the tastes and aromas of the Argentinian experience.

Rest in Boutique Luxury

Following the model of Snowwater, iROAM has designed this trip around smaller, boutique accomodations. We want you to have the same level of experience you have come to expect from Snowwater.

Forging Bonds with Adrenaline

Few things unite people like a healthy dose of adrenaline. We have seen it time and again while heliskiing - people form lifelong friendships when a thrilling adventure is shared. On this trip we will have one of those days rafting through vast canyons and experiencing the rush of Class II & III rapids.

Chasing Waterfalls

If you like waterfalls (who doesn't?!) Then you will get your fill on this trip. We will do a day of trekking that will take you to seven different waterfalls along the Cascada del Rio Colorado

Stay at the Piattelli Wine Resort

Relax and enjoy local wine culture at this private wine resort for a couple of days. Take in the scenic mountain views from the private villas. Savour wine from the roof top patios and refresh in one of the plunge pools! And the cuisine is an eclectic mix of Argentinian specialities and international cuisine.

Vistas like No Other

You will see places like Quebrada de las Conchas that only the naked eye can experience fully. The expanse views will leave a lasting impression. One that will be solidified by shared experiences over wine and food.

Be a Part of the Harvest

You will have the opportunity to participate in a grape harvest. Be a part of the vintage that will be produced and learn more about the culture of Argentinian wine. By the end of this trip you will have a complete view of the wine produced here. The people, the terroir, the flavours, and the culture.

When they are not heli ski guiding and operating Snowwater, Patric and Maria have an insatiable desire to travel. At the heart of much of their travel is the shared love of wine and wine culture. Every year they choose new location to explore and taste new flavours to add to their award winning wine list. And now they want you to join them!

In partnership with their friends at iROAM, you will experience travel, wine, cuisine and culture in a way like no other.

Travel to the World's wine regions with a Certified Sommelier. Patric backs up his love and knowledge of wine with his Sommelier certification. What does this mean for you? Although many people know about wine, a Sommelier has a deeper understanding for wine, how it is made, where it is from and what contributing factors all add up to the relationship we all have with wine.
