WELCOME TO THE SNOWWATER VILLAGE
Tucked away in the Selkirk Mountains of BC, Snowwater sits at 5400 ft on 21 private acres of pure mountain bliss. Originally established as a backcountry ski touring cabin, the lodge has gradually transformed into a mini mountain village. Our slice of magic continues to evolve as we do, always with the mandate to create exciting authentic experiences and provide guests with the trip of a lifetime.

LIVING WITH NATURE
A key chapter in our story is a commitment to sustainability and reducing our footprint to help preserve the very nature that makes our wilderness experience one of the best in the world.
The onset of global warming is upon us, and we have witnessed first hand the changes in the environment over the last thirty years of operation. We try as best we can to minimize our footprint, while introducing outsiders to our local mountains, showing first hand the importance of sustainability, environmental protection and preservation.
We are a small company catering to only twelve guests. We are proud that we use only one helicopter in our operation, and that we can showcase nature to our guests and promote the need for stewardship of the earth.
As a company, we commute to work, we compost and recycle. We grow a large organic garden at the Snowwater office, and the food that we grow is pickled, preserved, and frozen for winter operations.
The Snowwater Village is heated by propane. This is a clean, environmentally friendly fuel both before and after combustion, and therefore does not leave a detrimental impact on the environment.
We know that we are heli skiing and using fuel to do so. But we are proud that our helicopter provider- Blackcomb Helicopters - is officially a 100% Carbon Neutral company!
We are always striving to innovate in ways that help to offset our carbon emissions. For the past 35 years our forestry business, Site Specific Management, has collected millions of seedlings which become the forests of the future.
Handcrafted from larch and fir timbers you will feel the strength and comfort of these buildings once you walk through the doors. These buildings were built for maximizing the mountain experience, while keeping you warm and cozy. You'll enjoy heated floors, down duvets, organic bath products and fluffy bath robes.
